ZYBURO, Edward

Edward Zyburo went to heaven peacefully on June 14, 2026, at the age of 84. Often the “life of the party,” Ed was always ready to meet new people, have a drink, and tell a joke.

Born in Queens, New York, to Joseph and Minnie Zyburo, Ed graduated Martin Van Buren High School (Class of 1959). He spent his career as a real estate agent, a profession that suited his outgoing nature. After raising his family with Lynn Zyburo in Naples, Florida, Ed eventually settled in Tampa. In his final years, Ed found a special companionship with Rita Griffin. They spent many hours together dancing, playing cards, and enjoying take-out. Daily ice cream was the secret to a long life, and he maintained his faith in God and Jesus throughout.

Ed was reunited in heaven with his parents and his brothers, Joseph and Charles “Dennis” Zyburo. He was eternally proud of his children “Dr. Dara” and Craig Zyburo, Esq. and is additionally survived by his grandchildren (Ted and Cecilia Zyburo, and Haven, Calvin, and Elliot Rajeshwar); his ex-wife Lynn Zyburo; his sister, Dorothy Zyburo-Lupo; his dear companion, Rita; and close friends Debra Torres and Sherry Jagars.
