In Loving Memory of Tara Leilani Powell

Tara Leilani Powell passed away unexpectedly on October 14, 2025. Born on January 24, 1992, in Honolulu, Hawaii, Tara brought warmth, creativity, and joy to all who knew her.

She graduated from Cedar Crest High School in 2010 and went on to pursue her passion for interior design at the Art Institute of Philadelphia, earning her degree in 2015. Tara had a natural eye for beauty and loved expressing herself through crafts and furniture restoration. Her creativity was matched only by her love for animals and travel.

Tara cherished time spent with her beloved dog Sophie, as well as her sister’s dogs—Maverick, Mika, and Ranger. Whether exploring new places, enjoying quiet moments at home or going to concerts with her sister Taylor, she embraced life with a gentle spirit and a generous heart.

She will be deeply missed by her mother, Lori Powell, and sister, Taylor Powell, both of Spring Hill, Florida; her father, Walter Powell, currently residing in the Philippines; and her extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Tara will be laid to rest alongside her beloved grandparents, Ken and Barb Hartman, in Pennsylvania. A date for the service will be announced at a later time.

Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved her.

Tara will be missed! I could always count on her for our (mostly friendly) banter and friendly name calling 🤣. She was to say the least, a unique soul with a laugh that could brighten any room! Until we meet again sweet girl!
