A quiet, humble man, Bob devoted his life to serving his Lord by using his gift of memory of details.

In 1958 he graduated from Central High in the top 10 percent of his class, where he was a member of the Honor Society.

He graduated in 1962 from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and became an active supporter of the Alumni Foundation.

From ’63-’69 Bob served in the army reserve as he began his career in the Department of Defense Fuel Supply. At the age of 50 he continued his career in the Secret Service Procurement Division.

He retired in 2006 as a Supervisory Contract Specialist, known for his professionalism and attention to detail in contract negotiations.

Bob liked spending vacations in St. Petersburg, Florida, but as he neared retirement, felt Pinellas County was too crowded.  He had a home built in Dover, Florida with an assist in the home details from his work partner, Patrice, at the SS.   After retiring, he joined and participated as an usher and a ‘Wednesday Warrior’ at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Brandon, FL  He helped organize the retiree group “Pairs and Spares” at Immanuel and coordinated their monthly dinners until his health in 2025 prevented his attendance.

He enjoyed gardening and was a devoted supporter of Penn State football.  Bob wanted to help others get a college degree, and this led to his establishing three scholarship funds with the Penn State Alumni Foundation for individuals pursuing accounting degrees.  He also established a scholarship fund for pastoral students at the LCMS Concordia Seminary in St Louis.

We will miss Bob and his quiet witness to the love of Jesus in his life and appreciate his commitment to leaving a legacy in many charities.
