Carmen Maria Parrado passed away on July 15, 2026, surrounded by the love she devoted her life to. Born and raised in Tampa, Carmen was a proud first generation American whose family roots traced back to Sicily and was a graduate from Jefferson High School.
Carmen was not only our mother, she was our best friend and the steady rock of our family. Her greatest joy was being with the people she loved, and she always put family first in every season of her life.
A wonderful cook and an enthusiastic shopper, Carmen found happiness in the simple pleasures of cooking and sharing meals, exploring markets, and spending time together. Her warmth, humor, and unwavering support made our family feel whole.
She is survived by her children Adrian Parrado Jr., Chris Parrado, Patty Abella, and Angela Zaritsky; her grandchildren Christopher Figueredo, Dara Abella, Daran Abella, Elektra Zaritsky, and Shayla Rogers-Parrado; and her sons-in-law Michael Zaritsky, Daran Abella, and Tony Brian.
Mom, you are truly loved and will be deeply missed. We love you to the moon and back!

Carmen was always so sweet and reserved every time I got to see her for family Christmas parties. I know my grandmother, Daisy, really loved her too. I am sure they are together with the Lord looking down on all of us. I’m so sorry for your loss. I know she was the glue that kept everyone together. It’s so hard losing the people who mean the most to us. May her memory forever be a blessing. May she rest in eternal peace.

Carmen was my oldest and dearest friend for close to 80 years, we grew up on Ross Avenue in Tampa as little girls and have remained in contact all this time. She was the kindest and wisest person, I never heard her utter an unkind word about anyone.
Loving and giving had to be her motto, especially to her children and grandchildren whom she utterly adored and praised.
She is a part of all of us who loved her and she will be sorely missed every day.
I will see you again my sweet ole pal.

She was a blessing to anyone who was lucky enough to be in her life. Her grace and beauty, kindness, and love will never be forgotten. Mrs. Parado will be missed by many. She was a wonderful neighbor who I shared many laughs with. She was witty, funny, a GREAT cook, and had an energy that lit up the room. She would always offer some of her delicious food to me, and loved my dog who she would always love to pet and talk to whenever we saw her in the common areas of our property. My wife Krista and I were definitely sad when we heard of her passing. But we immediately started smiling as we remembered and spoke about some of our conversations we had with her and the many laughs. She reminded me a lot of my mother and had a loving way about herself that is rare. She touched a lot of people’s lives, and I am so happy to have known her. She loved her family to the enth degree and I know is looking down from heaven with a smile on her face as they carry on the many values and traditions she instilled upon them. Rest in peace Mrs.Parado.
