HARDING, Patricia “Pat”

August 2, 1940 – July 4, 2026

Pat Harding, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on July 4, 2026, while under Hospice care for the effects of dementia.

Pat loved God, her family and her church. Through all the joys and tribulations of life, she leaned on her faith, often citing her favorite Bible verse, Proverbs 3: 5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight”.

Pat is survived by her daughters Donell Harding of Tampa, FL, Darciell (Doug) Gray of Land O’ Lakes, FL and Bernadette (Ken) Tillberg of Lutz, FL. Pat was a proud grandmother to Danica Davis, Rayanne Tillberg and Charlie Tillberg.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Chuck Harding, parents Beverly and Bricies Bray and sister, Lynett Klopp.

Born and raised in Minneapolis, MN., Pat graduated from Roosevelt HS and then earned her LPN nursing certification. She married her high school sweetheart shortly after he joined the Air Force and the great adventure of military life began. After being assigned to MacDill AFB, they settled into Carrollwood and purchased their forever home, a dream come true.

Pat was a caregiver by nature and loved working with senior citizens. She found her calling when she accepted a position with Hillsborough County Adult Services, in the Adult Daycare program as an on-site nurse. For nearly 25 years she had the joy of helping seniors and their families who have been affected by dementia. After retiring at 70, she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, volunteering at church, attending Bible School Fellowship and occasionally getting in a golf game.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church (14920 Hutchison Rd., Tampa, FL 33625) on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 2 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Pat and the love, faith and kindness she shared throughout her life.
