Andrew Plutarch Georgiades, lovingly known as Andy, passed away on April 26, 2026, in Tampa, Florida, after a battle with cancer. He was 58 years old.
Andy was deeply loved by all who knew him. He had a way of making life brighter, warmer, and more memorable simply by being himself. He was kind, funny, strong, and full of heart. Whether he was spending time with family, talking music, working on Jeeps, sharing a laugh, or offering a kind word to someone who needed it, Andy left an impression that will never fade.
Andy is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Georgiades, who loved him beyond words. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Bollash (John Bollash) and Nancy Danyliw (Scott Danyliw); his nephews, Johnny and Billy Bollash;(Jenn Georgiades), niece Anya Georgiades and nephew Jason Georgiades; his stepdaughters, Ericka, Emily and Chelsea; his grandchildren, Olivia, Mckenna, River, and Kaden; and his BFAM, Stuart Pinnock. He was preceded in death by his parents, Plutarch and Jean Georgiades; his sister, Tina Georgiades; his brother, Chris Georgiades and his beloved dog, Murphy, who is surely by his side again. As well as many other family and friends that were like family.
Andy had a deep love for music. He was a huge fan of the Grateful Dead and Phish, but truly, he just loved music in every form. And when the music came on, those hips never quit. He felt music fully — with joy, movement, and that unmistakable Andy spirit. He also had an enormous passion for Jeeps — the older, the better — especially his 1988 Jeep YJ. He loved all things tie-dye, colorful, and bright, which perfectly matched his personality.
Andy had the absolute best sense of humor. He could banter quickly, tell the perfect dad joke, and be as silly as could be. He made it a point to make his wife laugh every single day. Kathleen often referred to him as her “golden retriever,” because Andy was the kindest soul — loyal, loving, gentle, and always ready to help. There truly wasn’t anyone he wouldn’t go out of his way to talk to, support, or comfort with a kind word.
Andy was a roofer for more than 35 years and was exceptionally skilled at his craft. He was intelligent, hardworking, and endlessly curious. He could play Jeopardy, talk about almost any subject, and surprise people with just how much he knew.
Together, Kathleen and Andy shared their beloved dog, Goose, who misses his dad greatly. Andy’s love, laughter, music, color, and kindness will live on through all who knew him.
Andy’s life was a gift, and his absence is immeasurable. He was loved completely, he will be remembered endlessly, and his spirit will remain in every song, every laugh, every colorful sunset, every Jeep ride, and every memory held by those lucky enough to know him.

We are so sorry for your family’s loss. We never met Andy, and that is our loss because it sounds like he was a terrific man. It takes a special person to be loved so completely. We hope all the wonderful memories will bring comfort and overshadow some of the sadness.
