Delma was a wonderful person. She encouraged others despite what she was going through. She fought until the very end and still had the ability to make you laugh.
She had a meek spirit, but she was also a forced to be reckoned with. She fought the good fight, she kept the faith. Now laid up for her is a Crown of Righteousness. May she rest in peace and rise in Glory.

Tia thank you for the love you always gave us, for raising two amazing men that’s I’m proud to call my Little Primos. I know you would be so proud of their fighting spirit. Love you always Tia Delma, my cousins know I will always be here for them and Tio Manuel. Rest now and be at peace, my faith tells me we will see each other again.

I cherish fond memories of my childhood spent with Delma. Thanks to her and Vilma, I entered first grade already knowing how to read and write very well. We used to play school, and Vilma, Delma, and our other cousin—Evelyn—would take turns playing the role of teacher for my sister and me.
Although Delma spent the final moments of her life battling this cruel disease, I find solace in knowing that she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord, and that she was a courageous woman of great faith. You fought like a warrior—with steadfastness, faith, and hope—always believing in God’s promises. Physical separation is always painful, but I am comforted by the certainty that she is now in a better place. Her soul rests in peace in the arms of the Father, rejoicing in His presence and in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am certain that, one day, we will meet again! May God grant comfort, peace, and strength to your children—my cousins—and to our entire family.

My dear sister, I am missing you so much. You were my best friend, my confidante. I miss your voice, your laughter. I will love you forever. I will cry for you forever.

I still look for you in the places where you sat, in the places where you stood, where we exchanged beliefs and hopes. I look for that smile that gave comfort and cheer and those eyes that shined bright with hope and anticipation, and that soul that brought light. I think I will forever miss that smile and those bright and accepting eyes and the warmth of your light. Even though the loss of you is hard to endure, I thank God for blessing me with the gift of you in my life. I know you are there with him and there Is no more pain or worry and for that I am grateful. I will see you later, my friend.
