Francis “Frank” Joseph DeFort Jr. of Tampa, Florida passed away on April 29, 2021 at the age of 78. He was born the son of Shirley (Erickson) and Francis DeFort of Springfield, MA on October 3, 1942.
Frank enlisted in the United States Air Force at age 19 and was stationed in Vietnam during the war. He was also stationed in Las Vegas, Germany, Florida, NH and England. He served as a Flight Line Crew Chief. After serving 25 years he retired and resided in Wenham, MA. He worked as the maintenance manager for the Wenham Country Club.
Frank was a loving father and had a great sense of humor. Frank loved to spend time golfing and swimming in his pool.
Frank leaves behind his loving wife, Janice (Tarr) DeFort, of 48 years. He is survived by his son Michael F. DeFort of CT, Raymond Kearsey and wife Sherri of NH, Charles Kearsey and wife Sheila of NH, his brother Mark DeFort of MA. Also several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Michelle DeFort and his brother Gerald DeFort.
No Memorial services will be held.

Jan, I’m so sorry to hear you lost Frank, give me a call so I can see how your doing. Mom died at 78 as well, 5 years ago in July. Are you still in the neighborhood?
