It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Roberta (Bobbie) Buklad at Tampa General Hospital,
Wednesday, March 11, 2020.

She was born January 6, 1943, in Milford, Connecticut, a daughter of the late Robert and Florence
Bridges, Sr. and was preceded in death by her brother Robert (Butch) Bridges, Jr.

This gentle, loving, caring and wonderful woman has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and
will be supremely missed by her husband and best friend of 35 years, Bernard Buklad. She will be dearly
and forever missed by her sons, Joseph Edmonds and David Alcott (Cindy) and granddaughter, Tabitha
Alcott. She also leaves behind two step granddaughters Ellen and Allison, two nieces Anna and Jennifer,
two nephews Benjamin and Christopher, many family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Family was the pivotal essence of Bobbie’s life. She has been a major presence in the life of her children
and cherished her role as a grandmother. She was a devoted daughter and caretaker of her mother in
her final years. Bobbie lived a full life as a mother and homemaker. She had a longstanding relationship
with God and was very blessed with her faith.

Bobbie will be forever remembered for her gentle eyes, caring heart, loving embrace and unconditional
love which she displayed during her anticipated calls to her family and friends. Bobbie touched many
lives with her kindness and compassion and knew no strangers. Although our hearts are heavy, we will
celebrate her life and find comfort that she is in heaven with her Lord and Savior watching over us.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 21 st from 12:00 to 2:00, at Cremations of Greater
Tampa Bay, 110 N. Macdill Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33609

Florida law states “A cremation may not be performed until a legally authorized person gives written authorization for such cremation,” (FS 497.607).  Furthermore, the law defines whom the “legally authorized person” is and sets up the order of priority of next of kin. We require a written authorization before scheduling any cremation or funeral services. The “Authorization for Cremation and Disposition” form must be signed by the next of kin in the following order: spouse, son or daughter (of legal age), parent, brother or sister, grandchild, grandparent.
