SCHUMANN, Harry ” Bud”

90, of Tampa, Florida left this earth to join his beloved wife, Dolores on
October 5, 2020. Survived by his sons, Greg and wife Patricia, of Philadelphia, PA, Bob and wife Terry of
Palmyra, NJ, and daughter Paula Henneke and husband Rob of Odessa, Florida along with his
grandchildren, Keith, Julie, Matthew, Kelly, Patrick and Tyler and great grandchildren, Kyle, Kai, Camryn,
Reef, Kenzy, Keith, Jr., Isabel, Violet and Trevor. Predeceased by his grandson, Gregory. Born in
Scranton, PA, Bud served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a Sergeant in the Sheriff’s Office of the City of
Philadelphia and later as a Private Investigator in the Tri-State area, before retiring to New Port Richey
Florida. He was an avid reader, photographer and a master of crossword puzzles. In his retirement, he
published two books, including a book about his adventures as a private investigator. He was a
committed sports fan and loved watching his grandkids and great grandkids compete on their playing
fields. Those who knew Bud well, know he was a McGyver in his basement workshop, a great
wordsmith and a fish in the water. He will be remembered as a regular at the library and as the brave
man who was comfortable chasing bull sharks while snorkeling. A Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred
Heart Catholic Church, 103 4 th Street, Riverton NJ 08077, on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. In
lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org in honor of his wife,
Dolores.

    So sad to see him leave us all ,but , he is the lucky one now in heaven. I had the joy of cutting his hair for years and enjoyed his Company. Great talks and fun stories with a wonderful heart. He was a good man!

    I was so sorry to hear about your father. He was a great man and I will always have fond memories of both he and your mother. In my youth your Dad was my baseball coach, my scout leader and my friend. He was a great man who will be greatly missed .
