Julio (Papo) Rodriguez, 73, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022, at his home. Papo was born on October 19, 1948 in the Bronx, New York to Julio Rodriguez and Ana Suarez Rosa.

Papo is survived by his children Chris Lang, Tina Weymann, Rachel Krutsinger, Julio (Jb) Rodriguez, and Koren Rodriguez-Linares, his grandchildren Matthew Russell, Brandi Lang, Jessica Lang, Megan Foy, Victoria Russell, Alyssa Weymann, Madison Rodriguez, Ethan Linares, Makenize Rodriguez, Faith Krutsinger, his great grandchild Grace Foy, his siblings Charlie Rodriquez, Wanda Shadwick, and Ronnie Rosa, and his dogs Bear, Andy, and Willie as well as many other extended family members that loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Julio Rodriguez, Ana Rosa, and Benni Rosa, his wife Ann Devlin Rodriguez, his son Kevin Lang, and his grandchildren Nichole Lang and Hunter Lang.

Papo met the love of his life, Ann Marie Devlin Rodriguez in 1971, got married and spent the next 50 years together building their family, taking vacations, making memories, and making people laugh. Papo was a Ham Radio Operator that made many friends over the years from all around the world. Those that knew Papo would tell you he was a quiet guy that would often say he was not a “conversator” but he was often the funniest guy. He made so many people laugh with his jokes, Facebook posts, random videos, and laughing at the wrong times. Papo can also be described as someone who had an abundance of persistence and consistency, one who was against killing common household insects or anything that breathes, and one who cherished time with his family. He will forever be loved, missed, and honored.

Funeral Services will be held on June 30, 2022 at Idlewild Baptist Church in Lutz, Florida. Viewing 10:00 am. Service 11:00 am. Reception to follow.

    Although I never actually met Julio I feel as though I knew him through both Ann & Koren. I know he is going to be very missed by all of his family and friends and I will definitely miss his funny Facebook posts. Sending sincere condolences to you all.
