On Tuesday, April 13, 2021, Ann (Annie) Marie Rodriguez, loving wife and mother of six children, passed away at the age of 70. Ann was born on March 13, 1951 in the Bronx, New York to Maurice and Patricia Devlin. On February 18, 1973 she married Julio (Papo) Rodriguez. They raised three sons and three daughters: Chris, Kevin, Tina, Rachel, Jb, and Koren. They have twelve grandchildren: Matthew, Brandi, Jessica, Megan, Victoria, Alyssa, Nicole, Madison, Hunter, Ethan, Faith, and Mackenzie.

Ann retired from the Hillsborough County School Board in 2003 and went on to work as a security officer at the Florida Aquarium where she retired in 2015. Ann valued experiences over possessions. She loved to travel with her husband and family members or just drive to see the water. She loved the windows down in the car so she could feel the Florida sun on her skin and the wind in her hair. Ann was also an avid music lover and loved dancing; in fact, Ann would dance anywhere. She had a spirit that was welcoming, comforting, and one that touched many lives. Most of all, Ann valued and loved her family.

Funeral Services will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Temple Terrace, Florida on April 18, 2021 from 1-3pm and a Celebration of Life Reception will follow. The family requests that you wear something tropical or a tropical flower with your attire to honor her love of all things tropical.

Words can’t express how much I miss you. You loved us unconditionally and you were always there for us. I am forever grateful that I had the most amazing mother a son could ask for. Your love will be with me forever. Heaven has gotten a beautiful angel to look after us. Rest in peace momma. I love you.
