The family of Ruben Mercado of Tampa is saddened to announce his passing on Sunday February 23, 2020 at the early age of 59 years from a sudden heart attack.
Ruben was born on July 3, 1960 in New York, New York as one of 8 children. Ruben is predeceased by his parents, Padricio Mercado and Monserrate (Maria) Mercado and siblings Luis and Daisy. He is survived by his spouse Nancy; children: Jessica, Carmen, Joshua, Ruben, Will (Harrett) and Kevin; siblings: Johnny, Robert, Nereida, Marilyn and Elizabeth; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Ruben also leaves behind countless cousins, nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends who will miss him.
Ruben was a hard worker and always made sure to provide for his family. He was a kind individual who went out of his way to make someone laugh or make sure everyone was having a good time. In his down time, Ruben enjoyed fishing, watching his beloved Yankees and favorite tv programs.
A Memorial Service will be held

I’m going to .miss him dearly me his cousin Nelson l was even talking with him a week ago on the phone l live in ft Lauderdale he lived in Tampa planing on going to Tampa to visit all my cousin l told him, some time l can not understand why is so hard for all of us, l just loss one of my best friend to around 2 1/2 week ago he was clean never did anything he had a tumor in his head went for surgery two days later he passed away left a boat business God take care of them
