William “Dave” Mathias suddenly passed away and went to be with the Lord at the age of 66 years old at AdventHealth Carrollwood in Tampa, Florida. He was born on July 26th, 1955, in Fort Belvoir, Virginia to his parents, Mary and Robert.

Dave is preceded in death by both of his parents and his sister, Terry. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Darla; sister, Lois; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In 1988, Dave began his 21 year career as a truck driver for Kenan Transportation. He also enjoyed helping others with home projects.

Dave’s private memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.

    Darla, so very sorry for your loss . What a wonderful neighbor Dave, was to John, and I . He done so much for us down threw the years! The good times we had together and eating meals together, spending holidays together. Oh, yes his 60 th birthday, going to Key West!
    What a shock to your life and to his family and friends who knew him! Our Deepest Sympathy to you Darla, and his sister Lois.

    darla, we’re still in shock over here that you and us have lost dave. He was fun to be around and he will be impossible to replace. we feel so sad for you. the world was a better place with him around. sure wish he was still here, our deepest sympatht to you, darla. junette and jim fabian.
