John Glenn Martinez Jr passed away on January 24, 2022, at the age of 77, in his hometown of Tampa, Florida. His battle with dementia in recent years showed his courage in facing life’s challenges with a smile. Despite the disease, John came out a hero and stayed strong until the very end.
John was a Vietnam Navy Veteran. He loved the outdoors. When he wasn’t hunting, fishing, or boating you would be able to find him at home in his garden tending to his pineapple plants.
John passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Sylvia Martinez, daughters Andrea Martinez and Natalie Page, and granddaughters Lily and Sophia Page.
A memorial service will be held for him on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Cremations of Greater Tampa Bay from 6p-8p.
