On the morning of July 13, 2019 Gale Blanchard Littler passed away after a battle with multiple myeloma cancer; surrounded by family at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa FL. Gale was 75 years old.

He will be missed by so many people across many states that he met throughout his journey through life.

Gale is survived by his wife of 32 yrs, Nancy Simpson Littler. Two brothers; John Littler and wife Cindy of Fairhaven VT, and Bill Littler and wife Judy of Rutland, VT. His three sons and their wives; Larry Littler and wife Michele, Todd Littler and wife Kristin, Jason Littler and wife Chasity and Stepson C.B. Phillips and wife Tina. He is survived by five grandchildren; Chelsea Tenney and husband Dakota, Karli Lee and husband Todd, Tristan Littler, Brandon and Jadon Littler and two step grandsons, Anthony and Hank Phillips. Three great grandchildren Blake Tenney, Madison and Karsyn Lee.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, FL. The staff there were so great with Gale and the family. When I first met him, I was a new leader at food and wine and he had to whip me into shape, and he did. I will miss his smile

Gale was a comfort to me to know that he was always there for my Mom and Dad.
There was always laughter when I was visiting my parents and he would stop by.
I wish I could have a little more time to enjoy his visits.
He will be missed a lot from your Indiana friend.

Nancy and Boys you all should feel very proud of the kind of man Gale was. Very gentle, kind, loving, happy, smiling he was.
No matter how bad I saw he was when I visited the last week of June, he never complained about him he was always concerned
if everyone else was doing okay. I’m so very thankful I got to spend one of the last weeks of his life with him. Celebrated is Birthday before I left to fly home. I will cherish that week and think of him to how wonderful the memories are for me even spending everyday in the hospital with him. Thank You again Nancy for allowing me to come. All the family is in our thoughts and prayers. Love You

Florida law states “A cremation may not be performed until a legally authorized person gives written authorization for such cremation,” (FS 497.607).  Furthermore, the law defines whom the “legally authorized person” is and sets up the order of priority of next of kin. We require a written authorization before scheduling any cremation or funeral services. The “Authorization for Cremation and Disposition” form must be signed by the next of kin in the following order: spouse, son or daughter (of legal age), parent, brother or sister, grandchild, grandparent.
