Mary R Cormier, 76, passed away peacefully on September 26th with her two loving daughters by her side. Mary, beloved by most as Becky, was an extremely successful, talented, and highly sought-after Interior Designer in Tampa for over 40 years.
She is survived by her husband Henry L. Cormier, her daughter, Heidi R Busot and her husband Frank of Tampa, FL. Her best friend and daughter, Heather E Johnson of New York, NY. Her only surviving sister, Deborah Gilbert of Huntsville, AL and her handsome and loving grandsons Andrew Busot and his wife Sarah of Seattle, WA and Alex Busot of Orlando, FL.
Becky was a military brat who traveled the world and especially loved her time in Japan which influenced her throughout her life, both personally and professionally.
She tried on many different hats; like disc jockey and flight attendant, before settling into her career and passion as a Designer.
Becky had an insatiable love of fast cars, jewelry and all things cats!
Her greatest achievements, if asked, were Heidi and Heather. For a long time, it was just Becky and H&H. Ever the perfectionist, she selected Henry Cormier to complete her family. Henry and Becky remained fiercely in love for over 43 years.
Beck’s closest friends Linda Cox, Melinda Norman and Libbey McDowell remained her constant companions until the end.
The family are honoring Becky’s final wishes to quietly mourn together, and no formal memorial will be planned.
