Darrell A. Bowen, 63, of Tampa, FL passed away on February 25th, 2022, while enjoying his favorite physical activity (doing one of the many things he loved), mountain biking. Darrell was born to Albert and Clara Bowen on December 23rd, 1958. After graduating high school, Darrell went to college, then served in the military, and worked as an airline pilot.

He will be remembered as a man who loved spending time with his family as well as pursuing his passions of riding his bicycles, shooting, and flying. He valued loyalty, integrity, honesty, and hard work, all values that he instilled onto his children. To his wife, he loved and adored her, making it his number one priority to ensure she was well taken care of both emotionally and physically.

Darrell is a survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Rebeca as well as his children Rene (Jessica) Arrazola, Xavier (Katie) Arrazola, and Brandon Bowen; three grandchildren, Xavier Alexander, Andrew, and Nikolai; his father, Albert Bowen; and his brother, Jeffery (Sonya) Bowen.

Please join us for his final view and celebration of his life Saturday morning March 12th, 2022, between 10:20 a.m. – 12 noon at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 10118 St. Stephen Cir, Riverview, FL 33569. Florida law states “A cremation may not be performed until a legally authorized person gives written authorization for such cremation,” (FS 497.607).  Furthermore, the law defines whom the “legally authorized person” is and sets up the order of priority of next of kin. We require a written authorization before scheduling any cremation or funeral services. The “Authorization for Cremation and Disposition” form must be signed by the next of kin in the following order: spouse, son or daughter (of legal age), parent, brother or sister, grandchild, grandparent.
