It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Jimmie L. Bentivegna, Jr. of Tampa, FL on October 18th, 2023 at the age of 41 years old. He is survived by his parents, Jimmie L. Bentivegna, Sr. and Lorraine Livsey; Children Lorenzo, Gianna, Antonio, Lyric and Step-daughter Mya. Siblings Natalie, Felicia, Nikko and VJ; Grandparents Cynthia (GaGa) LaRosa and Vince (Nano) Bentivegna; Aunts and Uncles Bobby and Valerie King and Robert and Judy Corn; other family members and numerous other lifelong friends. Predeceased by his Grandparents Nina (NaNa) Bentivegna, Biagio and Edna LaRosa and his Uncle Jack Bentivegna. Jimmie was an amazing lyricist and always had a passion for hip-hop music. His talent was undeniable and he found solace in writing as his form of expression. He was always making those around him laugh and smile and he loved to make jokes. He had incredible artistic talent and found comfort and peace behind the mic or even with just a beat and/or an audience. His candle burned brightly and he left this world too soon. He will be forever missed and we will hold him in our hearts and cherish the love and memories he left us. December 1, 1981 – October 18, 2023

I was torn when I heard this, this overview doesn’t give you justice. He had a huge heart, and love for other black sheeps. He was generous, he would literally give you the clothes off his back, or a bed to lie on, food to eat, an ear to vent to. He had unconditional love for his children and loved ones. His true friends accepted him for who he was, anticipated his personality and enjoyed his company. Jimmie was indeed one of a kind, he was hurting being a fellow black sheep. You can be at peace now. You’re where you need to be, remember we always said God has us, and now you can witness it. This is truly heartbreaking, I love you and I miss you. You’re free now, Forever Love LaPorchué.
