Mr. Vladimir V Dobin, 64, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 27, 2025. He was born June 16, 1961, in Kharkiv, Ukraine, to Nellya Dobin. In 1976, he, his mother, Nellya Dobin, and grandmother, Yelizaveta (known as Liza) Dobin, immigrated to the United States, settling in Queens, New York. He would later move to Tampa, Florida, in April 2001.
Vlad, as he was known to friends and family, attended Bramson College in Queens, where he got his degree in programming. He would graduate and work as an IT specialist throughout his career, both for the private sector and the military.
Those who knew Vlad knew that he was charming, easy-going, and quick with a joke, usually at his own expense. He knew how to make a stranger feel like a member of the family.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Anya Dobin; children, Elizabet (known as Liza) and her partner Jonatan Martinez, Velvel, and Michelle; grandchild, Misha; his mother’s husband, Yemelyan Kilman; and many other cousins and other family members that loved him dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to Shriners Children’s, an organization that meant so much to Vlad during his life.
May his memory be a blessing.
