Anna Marie (Ellis) Venable, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 17th, at Addington Place of East Lake in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Anna was born on September 12, 1938, in Henryetta, Oklahoma.

Anna graduated from Draughon School of Business and took classes at Oklahoma State University, nurturing a passion for accounting. Throughout her career, she held various accounting positions across Oklahoma and Texas. Among her favorite roles was her time with the Chamber of Commerce in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, where she cherished both the business and the people she served.

Anna’s love for cooking was legendary among family and friends. Her homemade spaghetti, Italian cream cake, fried chicken, and chocolate pie were always in high demand—when these dishes were on the stove, everyone came running. She delighted in gathering loved ones around her table, where there was always plenty for all.

Above all, Anna’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Richard Pentecost; her three daughters, Kimberlee Stroman, Jerri Walsh (Jay), and Angela Mazza (Anthony); her seven grandchildren, JD Whitlow, Jessica Waller (Gary), Nicole Whitlow, Matt Walsh (Carleigh), Jake Walsh, Xander Burleigh, and Jonathan Burleigh; thirteen great-grandchildren, Jayden, Autumn, Brody, and Able Whitlow, Ashton and Sierra Shipman, Tyler and Alliyah Clifton, Madisyn Williams, Scout and Sonny Walsh, and Caleb Coburn; and one great-great-grandchild, Bayleigh Clifton.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Minnie Ellis, and her granddaughter, Bridget Walsh.

Anna was a woman whose love, wisdom, and kindness shaped the lives of all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in lessons she taught and the moments we shared. We are forever grateful for her unwavering support and the warmth she brought into our world. Her legacy will always be a guiding light in our hearts.

A celebration of Anna’s life will be held in both Florida and Oklahoma at a later date, with details to follow.
