William Karl Pruetzel, affectionately known as “Willie” or “Will,” passed away on February 25, 2025, in Plant City, Florida. Born on October 9, 1964, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Willie left a lasting impact on those who knew him.  

He is survived by his beloved wife, Toni Willis Pruetzel; his mother, Anita Acorn Hodgin; and his stepfather, Mark D. Hodgin Jr. Also mourning his passing are his brother, David Carl Pruetzel; his sister, Sheila Hodgin Allen; and his brother-in-law, Rock B. Allen.  

Honoring Willie’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who shared in his journey.

    Will was a great guy with a big heart and a wonderful sense of humor. I will cherish my many fond memories of him.

Florida law states “A cremation may not be performed until a legally authorized person gives written authorization for such cremation,” (FS 497.607).  Furthermore, the law defines whom the “legally authorized person” is and sets up the order of priority of next of kin. We require a written authorization before scheduling any cremation or funeral services. The “Authorization for Cremation and Disposition” form must be signed by the next of kin in the following order: spouse, son or daughter (of legal age), parent, brother or sister, grandchild, grandparent.
