Patricia “Patty” McNamee, 74, of Tampa passed away from congestive heart failure at St Joseph’s Hospital on February 2, 2022.

Patty was born in Washington, DC on October 3, 1947, and grew up in Tampa, a graduate of King High School. She retired from Publix Supermarkets where she worked for many years and was spending her retirement enjoying her beach vacations, FL theme parks and time with friends. Her greatest love was her children and grandchildren who will miss their beloved Nana dearly.

Patty was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Barthelemy; and great grandson, Edward Barnes. She is survived by her daughter, Kristie McNamee of Tampa; her son, Tommy McNamee and his wife, Gloria, of Riverview; her grandchildren, Patrick Trizis and his wife, Melody, Alexis Farmer, Gracie Pritchard, TJ McNamee and his wife ,Kyndall, Dakota Polick and her husband ,Ben, Triston McNamee and Isabella McNamee; her great grandchildren, Clint “Bub” Barnes, Case McNamee and Declan Trizis; her brothers, John Barthelemy and wife, Naomi, of Tampa, Victor Barthelemy and wife, Bonnie, of Virginia; as well as nieces and nephews.

May the wind of heaven blow softly and whisper in your ear how much we love and miss you and wish that you were here.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a celebration of life on Saturday, March 19th, from 1 to 4 pm at 10301 Summerview Circle, Riverview, FL 33578.

Florida law states “A cremation may not be performed until a legally authorized person gives written authorization for such cremation,” (FS 497.607).  Furthermore, the law defines whom the “legally authorized person” is and sets up the order of priority of next of kin.
