Thomas Michael (Quinn) Love, passed away on November 12, 2024, aged 61, in Tampa, Florida. Born on May 16, 1963, in Syracuse, New York. He leaves behind his husband Jeremy Love, two sons Shane Quinn (Elina Nguyen) and Timothy Nara. He was a cherished grandfather to Leah, Lily, and Charlotte. Thomas is survived by his siblings Mary Quinn-Oley (George), Sarah Hooper (Harvey), Elizabeth Clark (Gary), Margaret Quinn, and sister-in-law Denise Quinn. He was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Quinn, siblings Ann Giacobbe and John Quinn. He was a beloved uncle to his many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. A treasured friend to many, too numerous to mention.

As a celebrated playwright, producer, director, and actor Thomas entertained and brought joy to many. Most notably with his works “The Danaid”, “Birth of a Serial Killer”, “Guilt by Association”, and “Bent, Broke & Blessed”. He captivated audiences and won awards for his many creative achievements.

He studied theatre abroad at the University of Glasgow, where he honed the skills that defined his career. Growing up in Syracuse, NY he attended St. John the Baptist and then later graduated high school in Norwich, NY.

Thomas enjoyed kayaking and gardening (with Baxter in tow, his beloved Shih-Tzu), activities that reflected his love of nature. A service to celebrate Thomas’s life will be held at the Nature Coast Botanical Garden in Spring Hill, FL at 12:30 on Saturday, November 23rd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Trevor Project or the American Cancer Society in his memory.

Florida law states “A cremation may not be performed until a legally authorized person gives written authorization for such cremation,” (FS 497.607).  Furthermore, the law defines whom the “legally authorized person” is and sets up the order of priority of next of kin. We require a written authorization before scheduling any cremation or funeral services.
