Judith Evans Brooks of Tampa Passed away on June 18 2025 peacefully. Judy was born in Sarasota on January 22, 1939 and grew up in the Placida / Englewood area of Southwest Florida. Her Father Charles Evans was a commercial Fisherman and her mother Eura Alderman was a housewife.

Judy lived a full and complete life with her late husband, Hubert Brooks and their large family of 5 children. Judy was a very successful business person that was involved in Real Estate, Jewelry,  and antiques. Judy loved the water, and was an accomplished fisherman. She also loved Golf, bowling, boating, and traveling.

Judy is preceded in death by her Mother Eura, her father Charles, her brothers Mike Evans, Charles Edward Evans and Robert Evans and her late husband Hubert Brooks and others. She is survived by her children Joy Davis, Gordon Brooks, and Eddie Grimes as well as her Step children Jan Darrigo, and Hubert Brooks Jr. She also is survived by 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

The Family will host a celebration of Judy’s life on July 26th at 11:00 am at the Cremations of greater Tampa Bay facilities located at 110 N. MacDill Ave, Tampa 33609.

Florida law states “A cremation may not be performed until a legally authorized person gives written authorization for such cremation,” (FS 497.607).  Furthermore, the law defines whom the “legally authorized person” is and sets up the order of priority of next of kin.
