Katelyn Victoria (Petrell) Braun, age 30, a true light in every life that she touched, was born on March 5, 1994, and unexpectedly left our world on June 19, 2024. Known for her infectious smile and personality that lit up every room, Katelyn was an unforgettable wife, daughter, granddaughter, niece, auntie, sister and friend to all those who will treasure every memory made with her. She loved hard and those lucky enough to have experienced love from her will be forever changed by it. Her loyalty, empathy, and passion showed through the ways she treated those special to her. In remembrance, a celebration of Katelyn’s life will take place on Tuesday, June 25th, 2024, at 5:00pm, at District Tavern, in Tampa, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.

    My deepest condolences and sympathy to your family. The pain and suffering of losing a child/wife is deeply painful and can’t be described. Im so sorry for your pain. You will be in thoughts and I will be praying for your peace.

Florida law states “A cremation may not be performed until a legally authorized person gives written authorization for such cremation,” (FS 497.607).  Furthermore, the law defines whom the “legally authorized person” is and sets up the order of priority of next of kin.
