Kimberley I. Moore,

Kim was born in Washington, D.C. and grew up in Miami.  She graduated high school and attended two years at Miami Dade Community College.  She moved to Tampa in the early 1980’s and, except for a year in England, she called Tampa home.

Earning a license in Cosmetology she became outstanding as a Medical Aesthetician specializing in PCA Facials, Peels, & Vibraderm as well as permanent makeup.  She taught classes in these specialties at both the Florida Career College, Riverview, FL and Tampa Bay Career Academy, Tampa, FL.  She was respected by her faculty members and much loved by her students.  She had a rare “hands on” approach to her teaching which produced a learning by doing instead of learning a from the book. Her eye for color, whether in makeup, clothes, or painted walls, was without equal. Her private clientele followed her where ever she hung her license and many continued with her as long as she worked and became dear friends in her life’s journey.

Always eager to learn and grow, she graduated as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and proved herself a valued contributor to the care-taking of the disabled and elder population.  She had a rare talent for being able to make deep contact with ones lost in isolation brought about by illnesses of various forms.

She was an ongoing student of the Spiritual process; always eager to participant in the cutting edge of the newest name to surface.  Dr. David R. Hawkins, MD, Phd, caught her attention resulting in her journey to Sedona, Arizona, to experience him in person. She enjoyed classes in the Course in Miracles and studied Kriya yoga under Sadhgura, volunteering at his seminars.  One of her favorites quotes from him she would share, “The sign of intelligence is that you are constantly wondering. …”

One of her greatest joy seemed to be two children named Shaylynn and Kyah.  And, since she fell in love with Unity at the age of six, she with her two charges in tow, became a regular at Unity North Tampa.  She became attached to several other children and was a blessing in their lives.

She was a loved friend to many and could alway be relied upon to lend a helping hand.  She will be greatly missed!

The Celebration of Life for Kim Moore is at 2pm, Saturday, Feb. 2, at Unity North Tampa, 19520 Holly Lane, Lutz. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Unity North Tampa.
